About
Kate Coventry grew up under the enchantment of books. She spent hours upon hours of her childhood (often when she was supposed to be practicing violin) lost in the pages of mystery, historical fiction, fantasy, and poetry. Inspired by the stories she read, she devised countless skits with friends and recorded her first audiobook (in a freezing New England basement the week before Christmas) at the ripe old age of twelve.
A long-time teacher with Music Together, Kate uses her voice (and a bit of inborn fairy dust) to connect magically with young children. With playful abandon, Kate’s voice travels from whimsical and tender to outrageously silly. Kate's Bachelor of Music in Music Education, K-12, provides educational experience with kids of all ages and makes Kate a natural fit for e-learning work. Kate started an entertainment business at long-term care facilities, building friendships through interactive performances and storytelling. Whether bringing to life German art songs in a classical recital, or crooning “Moon River'' to a small group of memory-impaired seniors, Kate’s voice touches people in a deep and meaningful way.

As a narrator, Kate merges playfulness with an affinity for action and adventure. Kate loves to voice feisty female leads of all ages, strong warriors with a lot of heart, and YA characters that are delightfully complex and decidedly nerdy. Her listeners describe her voice as captivating, passionate, and evocative, as well as caring, upbeat, and approachable. From children’s to sci-fi, and from fantasy & literary fiction to self help & quirky romcoms, Kate draws on her own enchantment with literature to authentically share the magic with others.
When not in the booth, Kate enjoys working out with friends (yoga, pilates, HIIT training), making salads that look like art, sketching wildly colorful marker portraits, and concocting herbal remedies that work really well and SOMETIMES smell good. Having recently relocated from Denver to the Rio Grande Valley, TX (practically Mexico!) Kate is happiest playing in ocean waves and sugar-cookie-ing on the beach with her family.
